The foothills of Boise, Idaho, called to me early in life. The clear sky, long views, and physical freedom to roam helped me grow in my own way. I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of the sky and landscapes around me.

My love of travel took me through eight countries, and throughout the U.S. I have lived on both coasts and in the Southwest. When I came to Yakima, I knew I was home.

They say I was born with a pencil in my hand. Still, it wasn’t until I was in Yakima that I began drawing and painting seriously. The landscapes and the animals hypnotize me. The forms of clouds, the hills and croplands are all uniquely illuminated in the brilliant light here. In my work I try to catch, with paint and brushes, all that I have learned in my travels and study.
